Cecil John Barkat

Pastor Cecil Barkat dedicated his life to the Lord on February 26, 1983, and soon became involved in youth ministry and evangelism in a local church. He graduated from Adelaide Bible College in Adelaide, Australia, with a diploma in 1987. Later, he received a B.A. degree from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. In 1988, Cecil and his father, Rev. Nathaniel Barkat, started a church in Lahore, Pakistan. Cecil served the Lord under the leadership of his father as vice chairman of Christian fellowship of Pakistan. Cecil did extensive evangelistic work in that area, resulting in the organization of many churches, a school, and an orphanage. He ministered as a pastor and evangelist for eleven years in Pakistan. Cecil and his family relocated to Denver, Colorado, in 1999, God blessed him with two sons, Joshua and Josiah. During his first few years in Denver, he served as an associate pastor for an Asian ministry. In 2002, Pastor Cecil started the International Christian Fellowship in Aurora, Colorado. This church has ministered to internationals in the area from many nations, as well as locals. In November 2004, after much prayer, the church was renamed Faith Christian Center International.
