Pastor Cecil Barkat dedicated his life to the Lord on February 26, 1983, and soon became involved in youth ministry and evangelism in a local church. He graduated from Adelaide Bible College in Adelaide, Australia, with a diploma in 1987. Later, he received a B.A. degree from Punjab University, Lahore, Pakistan. Discover More

In November 2018, he went to Pakistan on a mission trip, and God put on his heart to start the "FAITH TELEVISION" Cecil started "FAITH TV" a cable channel in Pakistan with a potential audience reaching millions of people, in obedience to the great commission to preach the gospel and disciple the nations. Much of the programming will be bi-lingual in both English and Urdu, the national language of Pakistan. Urdu is very similar to Hindi so anyone who speaks Hindi can understand Urdu, and vice versa. These programs, therefore, can be aired, heard, and understood in the Hindi and Punjabi-speaking world as well.
There are over 615 million people in the world who speak Hindi and over 230 million people who speak Urdu, Also there are over 155 million Punjabi speakers in the world, and many of them can understand Urdu as well because it is similar. So that is a combined total of over 1 billion people who can understand the programs, in addition to all the English speakers in the world.
